Paris Hair Design was established in 2009 by owner, Amy McCully.  As a single mom, working for a corporate chain salon, she realized very quickly, she needed to have more control and flexibility within her own life.  Insert the idea of opening a salon.  Things like, "I have no idea what I'm doing but it can't be that hard",  "I'll just put all my eggs in one basket" and "I'll either sink or swim" are among the many thoughts she had as she embarked on this new journey.  Renting a tiny studio of less than 600 square feet on Rt 83 in Grayslake, she opened the salon doors for the very first time.  It didn't take long before she brought on another artist as the salon became busier, and her schedule did not allow for more guests.  At the three year mark, the salon doubled it's space by expanding further into the building.  One by one, new stylists from Amy's past joined forces, and created what we know today as Paris Hair Design.  Once the salon was open six + years, they relocated to downtown Grayslake.  Bringing on more artists, and wishing others farewell, they found what they thought was home.  Little did they know, Amy's passion for all things beautiful, found her opening a second business known as Tanglewood Boutique, the store next door.

From mechanical engineer to software sales, Mic brings many talents to the salon team.  Standing by his wife's side, he has supported Amy's vision from the very beginning.

With 17+ years of experience grooming beautiful, trending women and distinguished gentlemen, Amy brings a level of premium quality to a whole new high. Amy comes from a family of stylists.
